All final RP judgments will be made by the owner. When it comes to evaluating roleplays, the owner looks for a good balance of storytelling and trash talk. While a balanced RP is often favored, there are times when an RP that focuses solely on storytelling or trash talk may be chosen if it stands out as clearly superior. Participants are encouraged to write in their unique style, but this insight offers a glimpse into what typically makes a winning RP in AAW.
AAW Roleplay Judging Criteria
All roleplays will be evaluated by the owner based on the following categories:
1. Entertainment: How engaging and captivating is the RP? Does it hold the reader's attention from start to finish? The RP should be memorable, with moments that stand out, whether through humor, drama, or intense emotion.
2. Storytelling: Is there a clear narrative or progression in the RP? Does it effectively develop your character or advance a storyline? The RP should weave a compelling story that gives insight into your character's motivations, goals, and personality.
3. Trash Talk: How effective is the trash talk? Does it fit the character and feel impactful, creative, or witty? The trash talk should be targeted and relevant, making it clear why your character wants to defeat their opponent.
4. Match Relevancy : How well does the RP connect to the upcoming match? Does it highlight the stakes, build anticipation, or provide context for why the match matters? RPs should tie into the current feud, rivalry, or storyline to make the match feel meaningful.
5. Grammar and Flow: Is the RP easy to read and understand? Are grammar, spelling, punctuation, and formatting consistent and correct? The RP should flow smoothly, with coherent structure and minimal distractions due to errors.
6. Creativity: How original and imaginative is the RP? Does it bring fresh ideas, unique perspectives, or innovative approaches to the character or storyline? Creativity should shine through in the way scenes are set, dialogue is written, and in the overall presentation, making the RP stand out as distinct and memorable.
