I wish I could say that securing a spot in the United States Tournament Finals wasn’t a forgone conclusion as a Triple Threat but the moment this was made a singles it was all but guaranteed. Ken, thank your lucky stars the powers that be made a change or your ass would be sitting on the sidelines right next to Karley; and don’t get me started on Thaddeus Duke. This is going to be like taking candy from a couple of babies when the time comes, but in the meantime, while both Thad and Ken are taking the night off I’ll be back in the AAW ring poised and prepared to make someone else my bitch. Hi there, Jack, I wish I could say it is nice to meet you… but I promised I wouldn’t tell a lie. We’ve got another cookie-cutter “veteran” in our hands. Whatever shall I do? Oh I know, I’ll ACKNOWLEDGE you.

Flashback Post Impact.
“They’re never going to see it coming.”
We open with Just Cause and his unknown manager entering their locker room after kicking off the AAW and successfully thrashing Karley to move into the finals of the United States Championship Tournament.
Just Cause zips up his travel bag before shifting his attention toward the unknown manager.
Just Cause- “Julio, it’s great to see you. I didn’t think you’d make it for the show.”
Julio- “For shame! I got you signed, of course I was going to be ringside for this auspicious occasion… and low and behold you secured your spot for the United States Championship.”
Just Cause nods his head in approval.
Just Cause- “I should have left as the first Heavyweight Champion but random draws don’t like me to much. I wish I could say I was challenged tonight but that wouldn’t be keeping it honest with myself. Tonight was an easy payday.”
Julio- “You’re not wrong.”
Just Cause- “Well regardless we are off to the races now. I’m not as excited to be apart of the United States Championship Tournament when it seems like everyone has a belt around here as it is. How am I supposed to make a strap special when three were given out tonight? The simple answer is I can’t. I’m not a miracle worker anymore.”
Julio walks over and grabs Just Cause’s bag.
Julio- “I like crowning multiple champions off-rip. It gives people something to shoot for right out of the gates.”
Just Cause cocks his head toward Juilo.
Just Cause- “You would condone it.”
AAW’s dream team starts to head toward the locker room door.
Just Cause- “I just hope the next booking brings me more of a challenge than this first one has because honestly the only thing I gained from stomping her is being the first thing the AAW audience saw in that ring. Nobody will take that away, and for as long as this federation is around I’ll forever be the guy that kicked it all off.”
Julio- “It’s safe to say that we are just getting started.”
Just Cause- “Just wait until the mask comes off, until then it’s just simple moves being made. When the mask goes away the real fun is going to begin. Mark my words.”

The inaugural Impact is in the rearview mirror. I backed my play as expected. Now it’s time for our second installment, and I was curious to see what the next step would be for ole Just Cause. What I found is a booking against some fresh meat to the company, right Jack? Please tell me you aren’t one of those old vets that assume. What I mean by that is assuming that just because I’m under a hood means I’m just some kid to the business because that would be foolish. Over the last thirty years I’ve seen you working undercards all over the globe while I was the guy working the Main Events. So, when I saw your name across from mine I simply shook my head because I thrive on competition; something that you’re not going to give me. Some things never change, and you’d think by now you would have learned that your legacy means jack and shit to anyone but you. Since when do we celebrate being mediocre? When do we pat ourselves on the back for subpar, huh Jack? Or are you just accepting of the fact that you’ve never really amounted to much? Reality for you is I’ve been in this business longer than you, I’m older than you, I’m more seasoned than you, and I will trounce you without breaking a sweat with a smile on my face. I’m walking into Friday Night Impact with nothing but piss and vinegar in my veins because I’m all about setting examples, and when it comes to dealing with you, you gives give real veterans on the game like me a bad name. I’m going to end that. While you have no idea who you’re stepping in the ring with it’s going to be a lot of fun for me to show you. I don’t need to boast or brag, I don’t need to build myself up because my track record is going to speak louder than my words ever could the longer this company runs. It a shame the AAW doesn’t give out a Championship for ignorance because YOU would take that hands down.
I’m on a tear and you are just going to be nothing more than my next casualty.
The sooner you come to terms with that the better off you will be.
There’s a reason why you’ve never made it to the top of the business… Probably several. For all the knowledge, for all the experience you claim you’ve attained from all corners of the globe knowledge and talent are two totally different things. I was born with a killer instinct, I was born to snatch vicgtory at any and all costs while you were raised to be nothing more than average… and that’s giving average a bad name.

Present Day.
“Babe!”
The voice of Just Cause opens our scene as he enters the front of his Las Vegas estate. Our shot of Just Cause is from the shoulders down as he drops his bags on the tile floor in the foyer of his front door.
“I’m in here.”
Her voice came from down the corridor and in the kitchen area. Just Cause starts to head towards her voice.
Just Cause- “Sorry I’m late, I had some business to tend to when I got off the jet.”
Just Cause cuts the corner and gets a glimpse of his loving bride who is also shot from the shoulders down.
“It's about time!”
She walks up and we hear the kiss being planted on Just Cause’s lips before she pulls away.
“No mask?”
Just Cause- “No need to wear it around the house.”
“I can’t believe you think this is even going to work.”
Just Cause- “I never said it would work. Hell, it’s probably the worst kept secret at this point.”
Just Cause takes a seat at a bar stool positioned at the kitchen island.
Just Cause- “We will see how things go moving forward. Did you get a chance to check out the show?”
“Of course I did, and you were great! Dominate doesn’t describe what the world witnessed.”
Just Cause- “Not to shabby for an old man, huh?”
“You’re only as old as you feel, and from what I saw you haven’t missed a beat.”
Just Cause- “I’m sure you’ll find millions of people who will disagree.”
“Fuck them.”
She sarcastically spouts out which draws some laughter from Just Cause. He collects himself before he responds.
Just Cause- “The first layer is complete, and now I’ve got to deal with fucking Jack Stanton of all people. I never thought I’d see that guy semi-main eventing any show considering the level of complacency he has shown throughout his career. I remember being on shows with him twenty years ago and he sunk faster than anyone I’ve ever seen. He’s one of those fucks that is in the business to seek some sort of validation because he’s a complete failure at life. The dude is a cookie-cutter professional wrestler with the lame moniker that is just as bland as he is.”
She giggles under her breath.
“Tell me how you really feel.”
Just Cause- “I am.”
“You’ve never really held your opinions to yourself.”
Just Cause- “It just grinds my gears to see guys like Stanton mooching off guys like me to make them remotely relevant even if for just one night.”
Just Cause gets up from the bar stool and walks over to his bride where he wraps his arms around her.
Just Cause- “I just hope that Thad and Ken are paying close attention while they’re off in the corner circle-jerking each other because when you’re the face of the company you don’t take nights off when the company is just getting off the ground. Showing up and cutting a promo doesn’t mean dick when you’re not inside those ropes. I’m the guy that is going to be the ultimate trailblazer while everyone else struggles to keep up.”
You can hear Just Cause give his wife a peck on presumably the cheek.
“There is a reason why you are who you are and everyone else is not.”
Just Cause- “You’re not wrong.”
“I saw S…”
Just Cause cuts off his wife.
Just Cause- “Julio.”
“Julio? Who is that?”
She inquires.
Just Cause- “That’s who you saw with me. Remember, it’s all a game. If people start to catch on then the gig is up. I wanted to come to a federation where I could just show up and compete without any drama or bullshit from trolls of the industry. I want to keep it fun and interesting for me because when that’s taken away it’s just nothing more than going through the motions.”
“Oh yeah, I forgot. It’s going to take me a minute to remember.”
She then inquires.
“Is there a point in time where the mask comes off?”
Just Cause- “When I win the AAW Heavyweight Championship.”
Just Cause continues.
Just Cause- “Once I climb to the top I’ll pull the mask off. I’m sure some people might be surprised while others will claim theu saw it coming. What I’ll say to those is it’s not like it’s not already the worst kept secret in the business.”
“How do you think people are going to react?”
Just Cause- “I don’t fucking care. This is for me.”

The Promo:
We’re going old-school with this one as the scene opens inside a locker room area set from the early 90’s where Jackie Redmond is standing by with a microphone in her hand while flashing a smile into the lens of the camera.
Jackie Redmond- “Ladies and gentlemen please join me in welcoming Just Cause.”
The camera pans back as Just Cause and Julio are shown entering the screen on opposite sides with Jackie standing in the center.
Jackie Redmond- “Just Cause would you mind introducing us to your manager?”
Just Cause- “I’d like to take a moment and introduce the world to the hardest working manager on the face of the planet, Julio.”
Julio nods his head as Just Cause continues.
Just Cause- “He is the reason that I’m gracing you all with my presence.”
Jackie Redmond- “Julio, welcome to AAW.”
Julio- “The pleasure is all yours.”
Jackie Redmond- “Just Cause, you’ve advanced in the United States Championship Tournament, and now you are poised for our second show against a the debuting Jack “Ironman” Straton. How are you feeling?”
Just Cause- “That’s a dumb question, don’t you think? I’m stepping into the ring with a glorified mid-card talent who should consider himself lucky that I’m giving him this much of my time or energy. The dude lives in a fantasy world and the fact he’s calling himself an Ironman when the truth is he isn’t anything more than just Jack. The guy has been second place his entire career, so what makes you or the brass in AAW think that this is somehow going to be different? You do know that I’m dominated every company I’ve attached myself to, right? I’ve reached the pinnacle of any roster I’ve graced because I carry more talent in my left nut than most of the people that occupy this profession have throughout their entire bodies.”
Just Cause continues after taking a moment to gather his thoughts.
Just Cause- “The biggest misconception amongst the AAW Roster is that the best of the best is currently wearing the Heavyweight Championship when the best is standing before you right now. It’s interesting to me that Misery is the only Champion booked on this next card while everyone else seems to be taking the night off, or will show up and talk like that means a damn thing. Being the best means you prove it on a nightly basis. Where is Axel Shaw? Where is Mac Bane? Where is Ken Davison? Where is Thaddeus Duke? They’re off in the corner patting themselves on the back while I’m going to kick the crap of Jack Stanton.”
Julio steps forward as we see the microphone placed in front of his masked face.
Julio- “There are those who talk about it and then there is Just Cause who IS about it. We didn’t come to AAW to play second fiddle to anyone, and the harsh reality is that Just Cause is an equal opportunity ass kicker who serves anybody. We are the bar, we are the tippy top of AAW, and it’s just a matter of time before the Heavyweight Championship is around our waist.”
Just Cause takes over.
Just Cause- “It’s not a matter of if it’s a matter of when. I’m a patient guy, and while I understand someone else will get the shot before I do seeing as Kenny’s old lady has a contract to exercise but all of that is nothing more than filler until I get my crack at it. In the meantime, I have no issues in breaking necks and cashing checks. Just Jack has no clue what he’s in store for. The only example that is going to be made is going to come by his expense for thinking that he’s half the man I am inside those ropes.”
Jackie Redmond- “You’re certainly not lacking in the confidence department. One might say that you’re a little cocky.”
Julio and Just Cause laugh under their respective breaths.
Just Cause- “Confident, yes. Cock, eh… depends on the person I suppose. I’m the kind of guy who says what he means and means what he says. Anyone who knows who I am under this mask can attest to that. I don’t have a lot of time or energy for foolishness or nonsense. I’m walking into Friday Night Impact with one goal… smacking Just Jack back into reality; and for him, he might be good… but he’s not great. Being average doesn’t get you anywhere in Professional Wrestling. It’s not my fault he was born without the proverbial “it” factor. He should probably blame his parents for the shitty genetic make-up… and speaking of his parents I wonder if his old man was the son of a plumber.”
Julio- “That was low-hanging fruit.”
Just Cause- “And?”
Julio- “I was just pointing it out.”
Just Cause- “Whatever!”
Just Cause re-directs his attention toward the lens of the camera.
Just Cause- “Jack, you might walk into Los Angeles on your own accord but you’re going to limping out courtesy of the ass whipping that I’m going to give you. I promise you one thing by the time that final bell tolls and you wake your ass up looking at the lights. I promise you’ll realize that you brought a knife to a gunfight. You’re the next victim of Just Cause, and I’m going to leave you in a bloody fucking mess.”
Just Cause winks at the camera.
Jackie Redmond- “We’re going to have to see what happens next Friday Night in Los Angeles for the second episode of Friday Night Fury. Just Cause seems more than ready for The Ironman.”
Julio leans in toward the microphone.
Julio- “That’s Just Jack.”
Julio pats Jackie on the forehead as the two men exit the screen as we fade out.
